Can You Force an Adult in Indiana Legally to Go Into Rehab or Go to Jail?

Question by Chloe: Can you force an adult in Indiana legally to go into rehab or go to jail?
I’m fearful of losing my 31-year-old boyfriend to a very serious Heroin addiction. I think he deep down inside wants to get better. He has done very little though to find help as he gets frustrated because he has no money or insurance for a rehab facility. He is on death’s door. I’ve seriously considered finding a way to have him arrested but I KNOW that jail will only succeed into keeping clean while he’s there and the second he get out, he’ll use again. He’s done a couple of stints in jail for a few weeks and it did no good. He really needs at least a 3 month drug rehab inpatient treatment facility followed by going to a halfway house or a sober living facility. I don’t want to give up on him. PLEASE HELP! Any links or personal experience stories is greatly appreciated. I’d really like to hear from a lawyer or law student or even a police officer that has dealt with individuals like these. He still has so much to offer this world. When I met him 9 years ago, he was clean and totally different. He was hard-working, very likeable, honest, and strong. He is none of these things now. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP! I do NOT want to have to go to my boyfriend’s own funeral.

Will Military Police in the ARMY Help Me Become a Police Officer?

Question by alex: Will Military Police in the ARMY help me become a police officer?
So im 21 years old. I work full time and i take classes on criminal law. But i only take 1-2 classes every semester because my job limits my availability for school. On top of that.. I only took 1 class throughout my college career. I just recently went back to school so thats why I’m late. Im not getting any younger and it would take me YEARS to complete school at the rate im going right now. I just want to start my life already instead of working paycheck to paycheck, you know what i mean? Anyways my ultimate goal is join LAPD Gang unit division but i understand LAPD is very strict when it comes to the hiring process. Although i dont have a criminal record, i have a dirty past when it comes to stealing and drug abuse. I have never messed around with hard drugs but i do smoke weed on the daily. I know I have to stop and i will no doubt about it. So i was thinking to myself, why am i working at a dead-end job when i can be getting paid about the same or possibly more PLUS benefits doing Military Police that will actually help me in my future of becoming a cop. But my question is, How much will Military Police help me in becoming a cop? and will i finish school by the time i get out of my 1st term in the military? I live in Los Angeles so Im wondering which country is the most common to be deployed to as MP? Also, can I just apply to any Police Dept right after i get out of the army? I was thinking LAPD but knowing how tough it is to get hired by LAPD, maybe i should start off with the low dept such as Torrance PD, Pasadena PD, or Santa Ana PD…Please help me Thanks…

How Many of the Homeless People Have Never Done Drugs?

Question by : How many of the homeless people have never done drugs?
I am just wonder are most of them homeless because of drugs or are most of them homeless for reason unrelated to drugs.

Best answer:

Answer by RedMapler
Not all people are homeless due to drug abuse. Many are mentally ill or may be a combination of both. Especially in this economy, many people and families are evicted or foreclosed. Women and children often run away to the streets to escape an abusive household. It’s difficult to find shelter and government assistance, though increased over time, is not enough.
