I am a BSN RN in Washington State. I have been clean and sober for a year and I have an active license here in Washington but I haven’t worker in 4 years. I am also on methadone maintenance. I’m really confused about what my options are for work and how to get back to doing what I love so much. Is one allowed to work as an RN while on methadone? I have never diverted or anything like that. Has anyone else got any experience with this issue?

A friend of mine in Alabama is addicted to heroin and has finally decided it’s time to get help. The only problem is he doesn’t have insurance or the money to get into rehab. There is a free rehab in Birmingham, but they have a long waiting list. He needs help now, not next week or next month! He has become very depressed and suicidal. He says it’s easier to just stay on heroin! Can anyone recommend a rehab in or around Alabama that will take him for free or possibly for a couple hundred dollars?

im not agaisnt it if there is a good counsler but i went for 12 years seen many different ones and not one helped meso im trainging to be one so people dont go through what i went through. from what i seen theres 1 good theripist for every 20 out there.
