I think this it what government should try to do, and hopefully would try to do if not for the interference of special interests.

Government should provide universal health coverage. The program could cover basic, less expensive costs, focusing on preventive care, initial diagnosis of problems, basic treatment, and emergency services. I believe this will do the most to provide for a healthy population while keeping expenses at a minimum.    Read more...
