Question by oleskool420: How do I convince my dad to go to rehab?
Please Help… ok my dad overdosed last night after making suicidal comments. We called the EMS and they took him first to the county next to us, then to nashville, and further for a pschiatric evaluation. Hes their tonight and is wanting us to come get him tomorrow, or hell find his own way out(if they approve him to leave) How do I convince him to go to rehab, cuz this is the greatest chance hes got and were behind him 100% and if he doesnt hell continue where he left off with drugs. My good friends dad was buried yesterday due to an overdose and I dont want to experience that, I dont think anyone should. any advice would be greatly apreciated, cuz im the most influential person besides him to do this, my best attempts tonight failed and if theirs anyway yall could help i would be so grateful, thank you!
Thanks both of yall, I just got off the phone with him, I think hes comin home tomorrow but i told him bout my friend and told him I want the best for him, and want things back to how they used to be and made him promise me hed stay here and try his hardest to straighten up, i let him know im here for him always and anything i can do to help i will    Read more...
